Who is an administrator of the fitness club

The administrator of the fitness club is, by and large, the face of the entire business. This is the person with whom the visit to the club begins, and with whom it ends. The administrator is a guard who stands at the entrance to the club behind the reception desk and greets, meets, tells, shows, leads customers by the hand and answers any questions they may have. An administrator is a person who knows everything about everything within the club.
Whatever questions you have, you always go to the receptionist. What services does the club provide, what simulators and stations it has, how many trainers work in the gym, are there any TRX straps, how many treadmills are there in the club, what is zumba, how does Pilates differ from callanetics, how much does an evening membership cost and can it be frozen on vacation time and so on. The administrator of the fitness club knows literally any information that may interest you.
At the same time, the administrator solves or at least participates in resolving conflict situations. Why is the trainer late, why the drain doesn’t work in the shower, why the air conditioner doesn’t work in the aerobics room, and so on. In case of any questions, controversial or conflict situations, the client always turns to the receptionist. And the administrator in turn must sort out the situation. He calls the late trainer, informs the plumber about the non-working drain, calls the air conditioner repairman and so on.
Since the manager of the club, like the director or owner, is often not tied to the place of work and is often absent, all financial responsibility falls on the shoulders of the administrator of the fitness club. Not trainers, not cleaners, not plumbers or masseurs with cosmetologists, but administrators, in case there are several of them. Needless to say, the level of responsibility of a person in this position is very high? I think this is quite obvious.

As we already understood, in fact, an administrator of the fitness club is the second person after the manager who bears almost the same financial responsibility. At first glance, it may seem that the work in this position is reduced only to receiving calls and giving locker keys at the reception, but in fact, the range of duties of an administrator, as you already understood, is much wider. He must be able to answer literally any question regarding the services provided by the club, must be able to communicate correctly and must be able to sell. You must also understand that this is a rather stressful job in which you need to be able to quickly switch between tasks and between clients when there are a lot of them.
Whatever it be, first of all, an administrator of the fitness club is a communicator. The better you’re able to find an approach to people, the more pleasant it is for you to work and the easier it is for you to close deals. An administrator, as a person constantly working with people, must be to a certain extent a psychologist in order to be able to listen to a person, understand “what hurts him” and solve this problem in the most comfortable way for him.
